The Good Shepherd Initiative (GSI) is a Charlotte, North Carolina–based nonprofit organization rooted in Christian faith and guided by the example of Jesus Christ, the Good Shepherd. We exist to walk alongside individuals experiencing instability, offering compassion, guidance, and practical support as they pursue dignity, restoration, and self-sufficiency.
“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” — John 10:11
GSI serves as a faith-centered support hub, partnering with shelters and community organizations to meet both immediate needs and long-term goals through love, consistency, and accountability.

The Good Shepherd Initiative exists to provide housing, guidance, and holistic support to individuals and families experiencing instability, empowering them to achieve self-sufficiency, dignity, and lasting transformation through faith-led service.
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2

A restored community where hope is renewed, lives are transformed, and every individual is guided toward stability, purpose, and wholeness.
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” — John 10:10
